BMW 3.0 CSL

My third CSL was, like its predecessor, a Polaris silver street Batmobile.  Though not quite as serendipitous a find as the other, it was nonetheless a lovely car, especially after Ron was done with it.  This car came from a good friend, who at one time had undoubtedly the best collection of CSLs in the world.  Among his treasures were a Le Mans-winning race car and the Willi Martini car I now own.

The first two photos were taken at a concours event in Monterey, part of the annual historic car festival that includes the Pebble Beach concours, historic races at Laguna Seca, and big-ticket auctions.  The car has since gone on to a new home in South Carolina.
